Many soccer cleats are designed with more of a high-top ankle support that is almost reminiscent of a sneaker more than an actual cleat. That can make it difficult for players who may wish to wear ankle supports with this boots. The Adidas Primeknit Soccer Cleat offers a low-cut, traditional design that keeps the foot stable and secure whenever the player is practicing or playing on a firm ground pitch.

We really loved the combination of leather and synthetics for the upper on this particular boot. The combination allows for a greater level of durability within the design of the shoe without causing the foot to sweat excessively or slide around within the boot. The in-sole comfort is cushioning for ball impacts, offering a superior level of comfort without compromising the feeling a player receives for the ball.
Why Consider the Adidas Primeknit Soccer Cleat?
This particular soccer cleat by Adidas is an excellent option to consider for players that are strikers or consistently attacking with the ball. The dimpled surface of the shoe allows for greater traction to be obtained when striking the ball, encouraging more spin to occur with every pass, cross, or shot. This allows even beginners an opportunity to begin to bend the ball in specific ways with an accurate impact.
These soccer cleats also do an excellent job of supporting players with wider feet. You won’t feel as much pressure on the sides of your foot, which limits the pressure that you’ll feel on your metatarsal bones. If you’ve gotten used to uncomfortable boots while you play, cast them aside and try these cleats on. The difference is literally like night and day.
The more we used this particular soccer cleat from Adidas, the better the levels of softness the boot was able to provide. We found that more movement could be obtained from the ball after a short breaking-in period. If you have time to practice a couple of times at home before using the Adidas Primeknit cleats in a formal setting, you’ll notice that you can get more out of your game.
What Are Our Concerns with the Adidas Primeknit Soccer Cleat?
The design of the shoe tends to cause sweat to congregate just beneath the ankle when you’re using this boot during practice or play. When you take your soccer socks off and begin to clean up your shoes, you’ll notice that the upper portion of the midsole and insole tend to stay a bit wetter for a longer period of time than the rest of the shoe. It takes about a full day for the boots to completely dry out after you’ve cleaned them.
The leather components in the upper also tends to weather a little faster than the rest of the shoe. Although this is difficult to gauge during a trial period, we would recommend using a leather conditioning product for those components on this soccer cleat to balance out the natural wear.
The grip on the pitch is nice. The reaction of the ball is predictable. The comfort is good for all players. If you’re looking for a high quality boot, the Adidas Ace 16.1 Primeknit soccer cleat is a good option to consider.
